⚠️ This plugin has been discontinued and will not receive further updates.
Facebook (Meta) permanently shut down the Facebook Comments embed (along with other social plugins) on February 10, 2026. Since this plugin’s only purpose was to lazy load the Facebook Comments embed, it can no longer function. This is a Facebook decision and there is no workaround.
What this final version does
- Removes all Facebook Comments code from your site.
- Restores native WordPress comments automatically.
- Shows an admin notice explaining the situation.
What you should do
- Deactivate and delete this plugin.
- Your site will continue using native WordPress comments.
Important note about old comments
Comments posted through Facebook Comments were stored by Facebook, not in your WordPress database. They cannot be exported or recovered.
