🚀 Need Automatic Invoicing and myDATA?
Byteplugs Invoice Fields handles the customer information and invoice selection at checkout.
If you also want to automatically issue your documents and transmit them to myDATA, take a look at WooMyData Pro.
WooMyData Pro connects directly to WooCommerce and automates the invoicing process through a certified e-invoicing provider:
WooCommerce Document Provider myDATA
No separate ERP is required.
WooMyData Pro is a separate, commercial product. It is not required to use this plugin, and all features of this plugin remain free.

Requirements
- WooCommerce. The Checkout block needs WooCommerce 9.9 or newer; the classic checkout (
[woocommerce_checkout]shortcode) works with WooCommerce 6.0+. - For the automatic lookup: the free AADE special access codes (Ειδικοί Κωδικοί) of your business for the registry service. The VAT regime check needs separate codes for the article 39a service.
External services
The automatic lookup features are optional and are disabled until you enter your own AADE credentials in WooCommerce Invoice Fields. When they are configured, the plugin connects to the official web services of the Greek Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE / ΑΑΔΕ):
AADE registry service (RgWsPublic2)
Used to retrieve the basic registry data (name, tax office, activity, address, active status) of a business from its VAT number.
- Endpoint:
https://www1.gsis.gr/wsaade/RgWsPublic2/RgWsPublic2 - When: when a VAT number of 9 digits is typed in the checkout or in the order screen, when an order with invoice is placed, and when you press “Test AADE connection”.
- Data sent: the VAT number typed by the customer, your company VAT number, the current date, and your access-code username and password.
- Service information: https://www.gsis.gr/en/citizens-businesses/taxation-aade-services/businesses-taxation/online-service-basic-data-legal
AADE VAT regime service (VtWs39aFPA – article 39a)
Used to check whether the customer is under the normal VAT regime. Only used when separate credentials for this service have been entered.
- Endpoint:
https://www1.gsis.gr/wsaade/VtWs39aFPA/VtWs39aFPA - When: right after a successful registry lookup and when an order with invoice is placed.
- Data sent: the customer VAT number, your company VAT number, the current date/time, and your access-code username and password for this service.
- Service information: https://www.aade.gr/dl_assets/39afpa/developer_guide_aade39afpaV1.3.pdf
Both services are provided by AADE. AADE privacy policy: https://www.aade.gr/en/services-information/digital-data-security/personal-data-protection

FAQ
-
Is it really free?
-
Yes. All features of the former Premium edition are included, without licence keys or limits. WooMyData Pro, mentioned above, is a separate product for automatic invoicing and myDATA transmission – it is optional.
-
No. Your AADE credentials and button settings are kept. Orders created with the Premium edition (fields
_billing_afm/_billing_doy) are still shown in the order screen, emails and My Account. The licence options and the daily licence check of the old edition are removed automatically. -
Is WooCommerce required?
-
Yes.
-
Does it work with the WooCommerce Checkout block?
-
Yes, with WooCommerce 9.9 or newer. In the Checkout block the Receipt / Invoice buttons appear in the “Contact information” step; when the customer chooses Invoice, the invoice fields appear and the AADE lookup fills them in automatically. The button templates and colours apply to both checkouts.
-
The fields do not appear in my checkout.
-
If you use the Checkout block, make sure WooCommerce is 9.9 or newer – the settings page shows a notice about your checkout type. With the classic checkout, make sure that no other checkout field editor removes the billing fields.
-
The customer sees a short notice and can fill in the company details manually; the order is not blocked. Only VAT numbers that AADE reports as not found or inactive are rejected.
-
Does the VAT regime check replace my own checks for VAT exemption?
-
No. It is a helper. It does not replace the verification the store must perform for any VAT exemption.
-
Is it translation ready?
-
Yes. The plugin is written in English and includes a Greek translation, which is used automatically when the site language is Greek. If your site language is English, enable “Always use Greek” in WooCommerce Invoice Fields to show the checkout texts (Απόδειξη, Τιμολόγιο, ΑΦΜ, ΔΟΥ…) in Greek. More translations can be added at translate.wordpress.org.
